Can files with Unicode characters in their names be copied?
Yes. AllSync can create, copy and delete files and folders with Unicode characters in their names.
Which restrictions are there on account of Unicode characters?
AllSync does not display Unicode characters in the program for technical reasons.
Only characters of the Windows ASCII/ANSI character set can be displayed and entered.
Unicode characters passed to AllSync are replaced either by a question mark or are not displayed at all.
This results in the following limitations:
- No Unicode characters can be entered in the program.
- No Unicode characters passed to AllSync can be displayed in the program.
- No files with Unicode characters in their names can be compressed into a ZIP file.
- The synchronization options File Conflict and Structure Conflict have no effect with regard to files and folders with Unicode characters in their names.
