AllSync 4 Manual ➝ Tools

AllSync ZIP File Manager

With the ZIP File Manager, you can verify, extract, or list the contents of ZIP files created by AllSync. The tool can be accessed via the AllSync menu bar under 'Tools' and is available starting with the AllSync Professional Edition.

The following actions are available via the toolbar:
  • Extract ZIP file
  • Verify integrity of a ZIP file
  • List contents of a ZIP file
  • Display information about a ZIP file

ZIP File

You can add a ZIP file using the '...' button or select a previously added ZIP file from the dropdown list. Additional buttons allow you to open the selected ZIP file, open its location in Windows Explorer, or remove it from the dropdown list.
  • Password
Here you can enter a required password for extracting or verifying the ZIP file.
  • Size Format
Here you define the format for displaying sizes in the table and log. Available settings: Automatic, Bytes, KB, MB, and GB.

Actions

  • Extract

Click the Extract button to extract the selected ZIP file to the specified folder.
    Destination Folder
Specify the folder where the contents of the ZIP file should be extracted.
    • Create File Paths
With this option, files are extracted to the destination folder including their stored path. Without this option, files are extracted directly to the destination folder without reconstructing the original path.
    • Skip Existing Files
This option prevents overwriting files that already exist in the destination folder.
  • Verify

This action checks the ZIP file for errors. Each file is extracted into memory and checked for integrity.
  • Contents

This action reads the entire contents of the ZIP file and displays them clearly in a table. The following file information is shown in the table:
    • File Name
    • File Size
    • Compressed Size
    • Modified Date
    • Created Date
    • File Attributes
    • Compression Method
    • Encrypted
    • File Path
  • Info

This action lists various details about the ZIP file in the log.
