AllSync 4 Manual ➝ Scheduler ➝ Task

Task End

Overview of Options

  • Show an info window with task status at task end
  • Execute action at task end
  • Change scheduler window display at task end
  • Log task status in Windows Event Viewer
  • Show notification in Windows taskbar notification area

  • Show info window with task status at task end
If this option is enabled, an info window with the task status is displayed at the end of the task. AllSync uses the system command MSG for this. This command is not available in the Windows Home Edition. Use the Test button to check if the info window is displayed on your system.
  • Execute action at task end
Specify which action should be executed after a task is completed:
    1. Shut down computer
    2. Shut down Windows
    3. Restart Windows
    4. Log off user
    5. Standby
    6. Hibernate
    7. Exit scheduler
    8. Lock computer
With the Force action option, you can enforce the selected action. This is necessary, for example, if the computer is locked, as the action would otherwise not be executed.
Note: Forcing actions 1 to 4 may result in data loss if other programs are still open and their data has not been saved.
  • Change scheduler window display at task end
Specify how the scheduler window should be displayed after a task ends: normal, minimized, or maximized.
  • Log task status in Windows Event Viewer
This option logs the task status in the Windows Event Viewer at task end.
    • If the task runs without errors, an event with ID 100 is created.
    • If error messages occur, an event with ID 101 is created.
See: Windows Event Viewer → Windows Logs → Application
  • Show notification in Windows taskbar notification area
If this option is enabled, a notification is displayed in the Windows taskbar notification area at task end.
Requirement: The scheduler must be present as an icon in the notification area.
