Transfer AllSync settings to another computer

Example Scenario

You are using AllSync on a desktop PC and want to transfer the software along with all settings to a new laptop.

Procedure

  1. Stop the scheduler service using the AllSync Service Tool, if it is being used.
  2. Close the following AllSync components on the desktop PC:
    • AllSync Scheduler
    • AllSync Service Tool
  3. Open AllSync on the desktop PC.
  4. Select the AllSync Data Export menu item under Tools in the menu bar.
  5. Create a complete backup of all AllSync settings.
  6. Copy the created ZIP file to the new laptop.
  7. Install AllSync on the new laptop.
  8. Start AllSync on the new laptop.
  9. Select the AllSync Data Import menu item under Tools in the menu bar.
  10. Import the previously created ZIP file.
  11. Restart AllSync.
  12. Check whether all profiles and settings have been transferred correctly.
  13. If AllSync is no longer needed on the desktop PC, you can uninstall the software there.
